Located along Adriatico St., Manila, the Zoo also has canteens, souvenir shops, boating rentals at the lagoon and several playgrounds that cater to children and tourists.
Today was his birthday and we decided to go to Manila zoo. Why Manila zoo? First, I really like to visit a zoo. Second, I didn't able to come together with his whole family because of a personal reason. Third, we will celebrate his birthday together with his look alike animals (joke).
We just ride a bus from Commonwealth Quezon City to Manila
Entrance fee costs 40php
Boat ride costs 60php good for 30 minutes
Entrance at Kinder zoo depends on seasonal fees. This day we paid 100php for each person. You will be able to see different kinds of animals and take a picture with them. See pictures at the bottom.
We suggested that if you go to manila zoo, don't forget to enter Kinder Zoo
There are also photo boots for birds and snakes that will cost around 100php to 150php

- Mali is the only Elephant in the Manila zoo, and in fact the only Elephant in the Philippines, and she is the subject of a huge campaign from animal rights organization, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). A report issued by PETA points out the numerous issues regarding Mali being kept in captivity. It talks of the loneliness Mali must be facing, seeing as in the wild Elephants travel in close knit herds, constantly surrounded by family and friends. The report says that even if Mali's enclosure was doubled or tripled in size, it would still be inadequate for an Elephant. It is also pointed out, in the report, that Mali appears to be suffering from Zoochosis - zoo visitors see Mali repeatedly walk up to the edge of her enclosure and stretch her foot out over the empty space, hoping to go further.
